Melisa Suriano-Wurtz Fitness Manager

Melissa Suriano-Wurtz has successfully completed the Ace Personal Training Certification Program, Coach Training Alliance's Certified Coach program as well as a Certification in Holistic & Integrative Health through McHenry County College.

She is the founder of the MSW Fitness and Wellness Studio in Woodstock.After looking back on her challenges in life and wondering how she was able overcome these times, she realized fitness had always been her go to for stress relief and clarification.

Melissa recognized that people needed different types of programs depending on their level of motivation and self-worth. This was the push she needed to pursue her personal training and wellness coaching certifications. She wanted to share with others all that she had learned and continues to learn when it comes to the value of fitness and the mind/body connection.

Exercise is a pillar of good health but it should be fun and interesting! Great music, friends and ever-changing workouts are essential in our group training classes. Personal training must be client-defined as no two people are alike. Therefore, all of my clients receive customized fitness coaching tailored to their individual needs and goals.  Ed is currently the owner of Fit Lab, the Fitness Director at the Golf Academy at Terra Cotta and one of our valuable trainers at Fitness for Life.

Dan Czeslawski

Dan has been instructing at Fitness for Life since October 2014. Dan Teaches Yoga, TRX classes, and Spin. An avid cyclist having worked in the bicycling industry, Dan is no stranger to the complete body workout spin classes provide. He uses his experience in long distance cycle training to create programs that will strengthen cycling muscles and serves as a great cross training program for runners. He is Level 2 certified by TRX for strength, stamina, and yoga. Dan has been a certified and registered yoga teacher by the Temple Of Kriya Yoga since 2005. With countless hours of continued study, Dan teaches a Fitness oriented Yoga class here at Fitness for life and makes the class possible for all abilities. A former student athlete, coach, and paraprofessional, Dan has great experience working with youth age and offers workshops for the younger crowd. A husband and father of two young boys, he also understands the time and energy constraints of everyday life and offers a way to fit wellness in to your life. His motto is if you don't take care of yourself first, you will not be helpful to those around you. His advice on taking his classes is the fear of suffering is far worse than the suffering itself. He looks forward to meeting you and helping you with your goals.
